ABOUT ABOUT

Join us on Sunday, February 11 for a special morning film series of Warming Stories at the National Gallery of Art!

You're invited to a cozy winter weekend (even wear your pajamas!) of animated shorts! Families will be provided with self-guiding resources to explore the elements of art in the Gallery’s collection after the screening. After this activity, the Pavilion Café, located in the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, will offer free hot chocolate—just tell the cashier you’re with Mommy Nearest!

This show is recommended for families with children ages 4 and up. The film is approximately 50 minutes in length.

About Warming Stories

This program includes Ezra Jack Keats’s The Snowy Day, Leo Lionni’s Frederick, Jane Yolen’s Owl Moon, Ed Young’s Seven Blind Mice, Mac Barnett’s Extra Yarn, and Peter H. Reynolds’s The North Star.

Note: All performances are free and will take place in the East Building Auditorium, which seats 450 people. Seating is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and drink are not permitted. Doors will open at 11:00am for the 11:30am program.
