ABOUT ABOUT

Explore exotic habitats from around the world and dig into some hands-on science fun during the midwinter school break. Families can learn together at Discovery stations inside BBG’s Steinhardt Conservatory as kids use their senses to investigate plants and objects firsthand and find out how plants survive in environments from deserts to rainforests. Attendees will receive free admission to roam the grounds and also participate in a special Mommy Nearest activity. Details will arrive in your email confirmation closer to the date.

You must register each person’s name in advance.

About Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Get a new perspective on Brooklyn Botanic Garden this winter with outdoor walks, educational programs, and self-guided tours highlighting the quiet beauty of the Garden’s 52 acres of grounds and conservatories. After the leaves drop, discover dramatic tree forms in the Native Flora Garden, Cherry Esplanade, and Magnolia Plaza. Visit the Shelby White and Leon Levy Water Garden and the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden to see how plants and wildlife adapt to the season. Step in from the cold and enjoy tropical greenery, an exotic desert landscape, orchids and aquatic plants, and warm microclimates in the Steinhardt Conservatory’s Tropical, Desert, and Warm-Temperate Pavilions, Aquatic House, and C.V. Starr Bonsai Museum. Discover more of Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s winter programs at bbg.org/visit/winter.
